Bachelor + Bachelorette Party at The Hillside Resort

Bachelor + Bachelorette Weekends

Lock the BluMana. Lock the cabins. Show up.

Friday night — the group rolls in, dumps bags in the cabins (each one with its own golf cart). Saturday afternoon, you're all on the BluMana — 38 of you, captain at the wheel, full sound system you can DJ off, bartender on board. Saturday night, dinner upstairs at the Steakhouse, after-party downstairs at the Basement Bar. Sunday morning, brunch on the patio. Hangover. Drive home. Nobody drives all weekend until Sunday.

Why Hillside

The whole group stays together all weekend.

REASON 01

The BluMana is built for exactly this

Fits 38 — bach + ette cruises are the BluMana's main job. Sound system you can plug a phone into, full deck, full bar with a bartender + captain included (cash bar — no outside alcohol on the BluMana). The smaller Pontoon is beer-friendly (21+) — ask us to pack a cooler and it's on the boat when you board.

REASON 02

Nobody drives the whole weekend

Cabins, the marina, the kitchen, the bar — all walking distance. Every cabin and camper rental comes with its own golf cart so the group doesn't have to walk back in flip-flops. The Sea Store is across the street for the ice + beer + last-minute snacks runs. The group doesn't split up between bars in different towns.

REASON 03

Two bars on one property, two vibes

Steakhouse upstairs is the nicer one — patio, full menu, the dinner spot. The Basement Bar downstairs is the casual one — pool tables, foosball, darts, life-size Connect 4, dance floor, late-night, no pretense. Walk down a staircase between them.

REASON 04

Rain plan that doesn't ruin the weekend

The Basement Bar has room indoors for the crowd — pool tables, foosball, darts, life-size Connect 4, and a dance floor — a rained-out afternoon down there is still a party. The Steakhouse patio is roofed with side walls. The cabins have covered porches. A bad-weather bach party at Hillside still hits.

Bachelor / Bachelorette Inquiry

Lock the weekend.

Tell us the weekend, the group size, and what you want to do. We'll quote the BluMana, the cabin block, and any kitchen reservation.

Questions

The things people ask first.

How early should we book?
For most weekends, 3-4 weeks ahead is plenty. The exception is a peak BluMana Saturday in June/July — those book out the furthest, 4-6 weeks or more. May, September, October are more flexible. The cabins flex more than the boat — the BluMana is the constraint.
Can we bring our own alcohol on the boat?
The BluMana has a full bar with a bartender on board (cash bar) — no outside alcohol on that one. On the Pontoon, let us handle the drinks: add a cooler when you book, or email info@hillsideresort.com with your order — beer, seltzers, or water + ice — and it's on the boat when you arrive.
Can we plug in and DJ?
Yes. The BluMana has a massive party sound system that takes a phone or laptop input — bring the playlist queued. The captain plugs you in once you're on board.
What comes with the cabins?
Every cabin and camper rental includes its own golf cart so nobody has to walk back from the marina in flip-flops. Campers come with kitchen and bath basics — plates, silverware, condiments, towels, blankets, pillows, shampoo. The campground has a bath house on site.
Anyone in the group under 21?
The resort is kid-friendly through 10 pm. After 10, the Basement Bar downstairs goes 21+ only. Most bach parties land here as 21+ anyway but worth knowing if anyone's bringing a younger sibling or kid.
How does the deposit work?
1-night rental deposit to lock the cabins or campers — it applies to your total. Cancel 5+ days before check-in for a full refund; within 5 days, you're refunded 50% of the nights you don't stay. Boat charters take a separate booking deposit. Check-in is 3 pm, check-out is 11 am. Need vendors for the weekend? We don't lock you in — ask and we'll send a short list of folks who've worked the property before.
What happens if it rains?
The Basement Bar has plenty of indoor room — dance floor, pool tables, foosball, darts, life-size Connect 4. A rained-out Saturday in the basement still works for a bach party. The Steakhouse patio is roofed. The cabins have covered porches. The BluMana can run in light rain (captain calls it) and reschedules if needed.
What's the move for the bachelor (or bachelorette)?
Most groups do: Friday — group arrival + Steakhouse dinner. Saturday afternoon — BluMana charter. Saturday night — Steakhouse upstairs, then the Basement Bar downstairs. Sunday — brunch + drive home.
Can the bachelor party be a surprise?
Yes — we've kept arrival logistics tight before. Tell us when you call. We can hold cabin keys at the marina office, time the BluMana boarding to the bach's arrival, and coordinate the Steakhouse to seat the group like they were expected.
