- What's the drive from Sioux Falls?
- 45 minutes door-to-dock. North on 26th Ave through downtown, then 22nd Ave / 230th Ave into Madison. Same route the locals take — it doesn't go through any rough patches.
- Are cabins pet-friendly?
- The cabins themselves aren't — but the campers and RV sites are, with no breed restrictions. Two pets max, $50 per pet per stay on campers (RV sites have no pet fee), on a 6-ft leash anytime they're outside, owners pick up the waste (not in the lake, please). Long Lake's no-wake side is great for dogs swimming.
- What's the difference between cabins, bunkhouses, and campers?
- Cabins are the most polished — vaulted ceilings, full kitchen, front porch. Bunkhouses are dry cabins with shared bathhouse — cheaper, more rustic. Campers are individually-named furnished trailers right at the beach — middle of the range, with kitchen + bath basics already in the unit. RV pads are bring-your-own with full hookups.
- Are there discounts for longer stays?
- Yes — 7+ nights gets 10% off, 14+ gets 25% off, 30+ gets 50% off. Minimum stay is 2 nights. Holiday rates (Memorial Day, July 4, Labor Day weekends) carry a 40% premium.
- What time is check-in and check-out?
- Check-in is 3 pm, check-out is 11 am. Deposit is 1 night's rate on the cabin or camper and applies to your total. Cancel 5+ days before check-in for a full refund; within 5 days, you're refunded 50% of the nights you don't stay.
- Can I see availability + book online?

- What's there to do once we're here?
- Two restaurants plus the store on property — Steakhouse upstairs for the lake-view dinner, the Basement Bar downstairs for the late-night hangout (pool tables, foosball, darts, life-size Connect 4), and the Sea Store across the street. Marina with the full fleet. Two lakes — Long Lake calm, Lake Madison fast. Most days you don't need to leave the property.
