Lakefront Weddings

Get married on the dock.

Walk from your cabin down to the lake. Marry with Long Lake behind you. Your reception is one staircase up. Your guests stay in the cabins across the property. Nobody calls an Uber all weekend. 45 minutes from Sioux Falls.

The Venue

Where it happens.

Say your vows by the water, then move the party to the covered pavilion. Room for the whole guest list, lakeside decks for cocktail hour, and the dock for the photos you'll frame.

Why Hillside

We thought about the parts you didn't want to.

REASON 01

Nobody drives the whole weekend

The ceremony, the bar, the kitchen, and the cabins are all on one property. Last call doesn't mean Ubers. The Sea Store is across the street for the ice run.

REASON 02

It rains — we have a plan

Patio is roofed. The Steakhouse seats your full headcount indoors. We've moved a ceremony off the dock in 45 minutes. Indoors is every bit as good.

REASON 03

Your wedding party stays where you stay

Block the cabins for the bridal party and close family, and we'll place everyone else in what's open across the property. Tell us your headcount and we'll tell you exactly what we can hold. Walkable check-in, no driving the morning of.

REASON 04

One person plans the weekend with you

We run the day-of timeline, the vendor coordination, the bar pours, and the menu. You don't need a separate wedding coordinator on top of us. We are the coordinator.

Plan your wedding weekend.

Tell us what you're picturing. We'll come back with availability, pricing for the package (ceremony + reception + lodging block), and a date to walk the property.

Questions

The things people ask first.

What's the all-in cost for a Saturday wedding?
It depends on headcount, bar package, and lodging block — every wedding is custom-quoted. Send an inquiry below or call (605) 838-7953 and we'll work up a real number based on your guest count + date.
What if it rains on the ceremony?
We've moved a ceremony from the dock to indoors in 45 minutes. The Steakhouse seats your full headcount; the patio has a roof. The rain plan is part of the planning conversation — it's not an afterthought.
Can the wedding party stay on site?
Yes — that's most of the point. We block the cabins for the bridal party and immediate family, then place the rest of your guests in whatever's open across the property. Send us your headcount and dates and we'll tell you exactly what we can hold. Walkable check-in. No driving the morning of, no driving after the bar. Our team runs the lodging side — the block, the late check-ins, and the keys-at-the-Sea-Store handoff for guests rolling in after the rehearsal dinner.
Where do we hold the rehearsal dinner?
Two options. The Basement Bar downstairs is the casual one — pizza, burgers, the games (pool, foosball, darts, life-size Connect 4), drinks. The wedding party loosens up there. The Steakhouse upstairs is the formal one — plated meal, same room as Saturday's reception, easier for the toast-givers to test the mic. Some couples do downstairs Friday, upstairs Saturday. We build the menu either way.
When do we need to lock the date?
Saturday weddings in June, July, August book 8–14 months out. May, September, October are easier — 3–4 months out works. Off-season weeknights (which look incredible at golden hour) are more flexible still.
Do you have a list of vendors you work with?
Yes — photographers, florists, DJs, hair + makeup, officiants who've worked the property before. Not required, but if you don't have a network in South Dakota, just ask. We'll send the short list.
